Each of us seem to have our own mission. I don’t think we need to look for an answer to the question of our existence, or even that there is one for sure – perhaps life doesn’t work this way. Exploring yourself, following your instincts and achieving your goals can be helpful. But the only thing I know about myself for sure is this: I wish to call forth emotion.
Perhaps it is a utopian desire, but I believe it to be one of the most crucial motivations for an artist to create, to always surpass their challenges. A motivation without artifice, one which retains their humility and sincerity, and as such preserves the authenticity of each unique creation.
Deconstruct the ego, reinforce the will to create, because a project, however personal, is far more enriching when its creation is shared. Dialogue with oneself is necessary in understanding one’s own vision, and in defending it with tenacity. But sharing, working, and creating with other creative minds is the greatest strength one could possess in bringing a project to fruition with vivacity.
Fashion is a field that is as politically charged as it is artistic, enveloped in the domain of culture, social issues, and environmental factors. It challenges itself as much as it does the society that engages with it.
It is through this notion of sharing and collaborative creation that I wish to deepen my experience in this field, alongside a company which can bestow upon me its profound values and boldness.
